It encourages exploration, creativity, and problem-solving in a natural and enjoyable way.
How does sensory learning work?
What can I expect in class?
Sensory Playful Learning engages children’s senses through exploration and play, fostering growth and development by encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. This approach uses play to help children learn and build essential skills. Through free play, guided activities, and structured games, children experience both independent exploration and group interactions.
Weekly sessions are 45-minute themed classes, held year-round, focusing on the exploration of art, movement, and sensory play. Each class is designed to ignite natural curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and support cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Classes are tailored for babies and toddlers, ages 6 months to 4 years old.
Each week features a new and exciting theme, such as Construction, Superheroes, Animals, Transportation, Dinosaurs, Space, Sports, Pirates, Under the Sea, Body Parts, Emotions, Weather, Seasons, Holidays, Fruits, Vegetables, and many more. Children will playfully learn age-appropriate concepts related to colors, shapes, sizes, numbers, and letters, while enjoying activities in arts & crafts, music, science, language, and math.
Expect a variety of exciting activities including sand and water play, painting, music, sensory bins filled with diverse materials, indoor obstacle courses, and fun with playdough. We will explore a variety of coloring techniques using different art utensils such as Q-tips, foam, sponges, brushes, plastic forks, pipettes, fingerpainting and more. Additionally, we'll create fun hand-and-footprint art, simple art using gluesticks and scissors for your child to take home.

Key Benefits for Kids

1
Sensory Development
Engaging with different textures, colors, sounds and movement is crucial for learning about the world around them and plays a key role in cognitive and motor skills. Early sensory experiences help build brain connections, allowing children to process information, interact with their environment, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
2
Social Skills
Learning how to interact with others, communicate, and build relationships. These skills develop through working with others. As babies and toddlers grow, they begin to understand emotions, share, and play with peers, which helps them build empathy and cooperation. These early interactions lay the foundation for healthy relationships and social behavior
3
Language Development
Encouraging language development by labeling objects and colors around them, helping expand their vocabulary and understanding. Introducing sign language for babies and toddlers enhances communication, allowing them to express their needs before they can speak. These early experiences build a strong foundation for future learning and communication.
4
Motor Skills
Involves controlling and coordinating body movements. They are categorized into gross motor skills (large muscle activities like crawling and jumping) and fine motor skills (small muscle tasks like stacking and sorting). Developing motor skills is crucial for a child's physical, cognitive, and emotional growth.
5
Problem Solving
Children develop enhanced problem solving and decision making skills. By engaging in activities that require planning, trial and error, and adapting to new situations, children learn to think critically, assess different outcomes, and make informed choices, which boosts their overall cognitive development.
6
Confidence Building
As children create and explore, they gain a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work. This helps build self-esteem and encourages independent thinking. Additionally, it fosters a growth mindset, where children learn to embrace challenges and view mistakes as opportunities for learning and improvement.
